WHAT'S NEW
Version 4.5.7.0:

Driver:

  • Fix DHCP failed issue when associates to another AP.
  • Add support of RFMD RF for ZD1211chip type.
  • Fix static WEP 256 bit key function.
  • Improve the performance of Ad-hoc mode.
Known issue:

For Intel-based system:

  • After Restart Mac system, the wireless Adapter can NOT work any more.
  • After wake up from sleep, the wireless Adapter can NOT work any more.
  • The driver is prone to freeze if wireless Adapter can’t associated to an AP successfully in a short time.(i.e. when driver is always scanning before being associated)
  • For PPC-based system: The driver will hang if unplug the wireless adapter while it is doing site survey work. (i.e. if you unplug the card before it establish a connection successfully, the driver is easy to hang).

      TOLIP  This is the worst piece of software I've ever seen. It launches at boot and is not controllable as a login startup item.

      And: IT CRASHES AND CRASHES AND CRASHES AND CRAHSES .............. (Version 4.5.7.0 on Mac OS X 10.5.x).

      MR. MACINTOSH23  This is the BEST!!! On my old G3 iMac, it worked flawlessly, then my brother Nathan Weaver, told me it MAY! not work on my G4 eMac, but I took it as "doesn't work at all." 1. because he's always right about mac stuff, and 2. because he researches things very, very good, thus I thought he came across something that said "Zydas WiFi Max Reciver does NOT! work on eMacs." thus, that's why I thought Ralink was better, but apparently not, because it couldn't even connect to our Linksys Wireless Router without the encrypted security off, which would be very, very, very, very, BAD!!! Anyway, Zydas ROCKS!!!

      It's the ONE AND ONLY WAY!!! to connect to the internet wirelessly on an eMac.

      My next post will contain step-by-step instructions on getting internet connection with the WiFi Reciever. DO NOT REPLY JUST TO SAY "IT'S ATHEROS, NOT ZYDAS

      One more thing... RALINK IS FREAKIN BULL-****.

      TEDROBERTS  The link to the download site appears to be broken.

      Does this mean that support for the Macintosh OS X drivers is about to stop.

      SOHONET  Version 4.5.70 is now available. Configure a ZyXel G-220 with no problems on Mac OS 10.4.7. Connection works well if SSID is set to visable, fails if SSID is hidden. The ZyXel G-220 work well with a Mac and USB 1.1 (i.e. Macintosh Cube).

      CONNYMAN  The new Version 4.5.6.0 works only correct with an older version of WLAN-Utilitie from Zydas !

      EINGEBILDET  so far, i'm not impressed with this software. it doesn't conform to expected OS X behavior in that a configuration utility launches at boot, and this utility is not listed or controllable as a login startup item. it appears one is stuck with this thing appearing every time the computer is booted.

      CONNYMAN  The version 4.5.4.0 works not correct with my MacMini and X-Micro WLAN-USB Stick :-(

      Now i used the older version 4.5.0.0 and i had no problems with it :-)
